Cadence Network Responds to Market With New CadenceEnterpriseTM Software Release

Makes Energy Business Intelligence a Reality

RELEASE: October 31, 2005

CINCINNATI — Cadence Network surveyed a sizable group of energy and facility managers and operations executives of large, multiple site organizations to find out exactly what they needed in an operational expense management tool. The results can be seen in the newest version of CadenceEnterpriseTM, the web hosted software from Cadence Network that puts critical operations expense information at the fingertips of energy managers and financial executives.

High on the criteria list for those surveyed was performance. So Cadence spent millions in creating this latest release, entirely upgrading the hardware and software that run the application, making it unmatched in performance and reliability. Equally important to these managers and executives is the ability to quickly and easily organize and manage their utility and telecom expenses at both an enterprise wide level down to single site or vendor. In response, CadenceEnterpriseTM received a new “dashboard” style look to improve usability and productivity, giving users a snapshot of their energy and payables information and quick access to the details they need. Visibility in to the once hidden data of operational expenses is now as easy as logging on to CadenceEnterpriseTM.

“It’s literally all about control. In it’s simplest terms, if you’re in charge of the facilities for a multiple site organization, you’re bombarded by invoices from different vendors and suppliers, across geographically diverse areas,” Cadence Network CEO Jeffrey Hart explained. “If store number 63 is leaving the lights on all night, you’ll know it. If a vendor sent an incorrect invoice or if a rate was wrong, you’ll know that, too. What that means is that our clients are proactively armed with actionable business intelligence that will enable continuous improvement in controlling operations expenses.”

Packed with information, CadenceEnterpriseTM can generate reports that are comprised of data such as usage, cost, auditing and savings information and other relevant multiple site expense determinants. The report library also provides reports that enable facility managers and operations executives to benchmark sites and track expense trends by comparing the usage from individual site detail through full aggregation of all sites within an organization. “Bottom line, we allow our clients to turn data into information allowing for faster and better business decisions”, said Hart. He pointed out that the hard costs of expense management don’t include the savings of time and of finite natural resources through the use of the software, which Hart estimates to be in the billions of dollars. “Time is money, and our clients spend that time on growing and innovating while gaining market share. They don’t worry about whether they’re bills are correct or if they paying the best rates – they know they are.”
